If you’ve read my blog for very long, you’ve noticed an unusually long period of quiet here lately. For several months now I’ve been working on a new endeavor. New for me, because the introvert in me generally works alone.
But I value the beauty of community, and I long to bring women together—to grow deeper in their relationship with God.
So with the help of some friends, a new space has been created for women. A place where women can be encouraged and equipped to grow deeper in their faith, stronger in their marriages, kinder in their friendships, healthier in their motherhood, and richer in their creativity.
A sisterhood is gathering at Deeper Waters.
My prayer is that a woman—who is interested in the things of God—will pick up a Bible and begin to read along with Team 365.
My prayer is that a woman—whose marriage is on the brink of divorce—will stumble upon an article at Deeper Waters and find a renewed hope.
My prayer is that a woman—who has been hurt by friends, even friends in the church—will find the women at Deeper Waters and give community another try.
My prayer is that a woman—who is home all day with children and is wondering if her life has any real meaning or significance—will hear the words of a writer at Deeper Waters and be encouraged.
My prayer is that a woman—who secretly harbors a desire to create something beautiful—will be inspired by the grace and truth at Deeper Waters.
As this new ministry is birthed, I am ever-mindful of the birth that led to a cross, and the death that led to a tomb, and the tomb that led to a resurrection, and the resurrection that now offers new life to all who would believe.
His birth is why we’re here. We’re here to tell of His birth. And the new life He offers.
Deeper Waters Ministry exists to lead women into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through spiritual formation and biblical literacy.
And you’re invited. We’ve pulled up a chair. Just for you.
